A Soft Play Centre made specifically for children 0 - 5 years old - and their parents of course.

As parents of two young children we felt that the play places in our area, South East Essex, had their good points but none had everything we wanted, so we decided to build our own!  These are the principles that guided us;

Age Appropriate Equipment:  All the equipment at Farmer Fred's can be negotiated by a 2 year old on their own, it is fun and exciting but not too high or big.

Age separation:  You won't find children older than 5 on our soft play equipment.  That doesn't mean older siblings aren't welcome, check this site for the exciting activities we have planned for them.  Also, babies have their own soft mat area (see right) which is away from the main play frame and close to some of our comfortable seating.

Good Visibility & Access:  On most soft play frames the first thing you know about a problem is your child coming to you in tears.  At Farmer Fred's you have good visibility to all of the equipment from the whole centre.  If you do need to get to your child (or you fancy a quick test of the slide) you will find that all areas of the frame can be accessed quickly and easily.

More than just soft play:  Our soft play frame is great fun but young children need a variety of things to stimulate and educate them, that is why we have role play equipment, ride on toys, a book corner (see right) and other activities,

Don't forget the adults:  A soft play centre is not just for the children, it also needs to be a convenient and enjoyable experience for the adults who take them.  That is why we have a large free car park, comfortable surroundings and a warm welcome.
